Stefan and Tanisha Leer purchased a 44-acre parcel in Byron, California boasting 37 acres of planted vines in September of 2013. In June of 2016 they sold the property to Ric and Michelle Campos and they named it Campos Family Vineyards. During the three years that The Leers owned the vineyard the couple turned it into a successful winery with a tasting room, event center, softball field wedding and concert venue.
Now that the Leers do not have the property they have moved the winery to Lodi, CA and still continue to bottle Leer Vineyards wine. There have been 65 barrels of estate wine aging in Lodi that is finally getting bottled in April 2017. Since the Leers are only producing small lots of boutique wine, which does not take up a lot of time, they have decided to venture into knew endeavors including a record label and a non-profit organization. The record label is called Patriot Road Records and they have signed country music artist Coffey Anderson. The non-profit is called Keegan’s Promise, which financially and emotionally supports couples through the adoption process and building a forever family.
Currently the Leers are in the planning stages of opening a wine, beer and small bites bar in El Dorado Hills, CA. The bar will carry Leer Vineyards wine as well as local wine and beer from the surrounding areas. It will be a country bar with live music and lounge seating for a comfortable experience with old friends and new.
The Leers have been blessed in their lives from building a successful wine business and winery to adopting an angel from above! For that reason they have not only become wine makers but philanthropists as well! When you buy a bottle of Leer Vineyards wine, you will not only be enjoying a glass of great wine but you too may be helping a veteran, animal, child or family in need!
